Every summer I receive a letter from Linda Castillo about her new Kate Burkholder novel and bookmarks with a synopsis of the book. This year I thought I would share her letter with all of you.

July 1, 2020

Dear Leanne:

I hope this letter finds you and your loved ones well. I’m so pleased that summer is finally here. Of course, I’m a little biased – about July in particular – because I have a new book coming out!

OUTSIDER is the twelfth book in the Kate Burkholder mystery series and will be released on July 7. With every book, I invariably learn something new about the Amish. With this book, I learned some new things about Kate. Not only do we get an intimate glimpse into the Plain life, but we finally learn how Kate went from wayward Amish girl to chief of police in Painters Mill Ohio. It was quite a journey for her – and there was plenty of danger along the way. I hope you enjoy reading her story as much as I enjoyed writing it.

As has become the tradition, I’m enclosing some bookmarks. It’s my way of saying THANK YOU. I hope you enjoy them.

Keep an eye on my Facebook page: www.facebook.com/lindacastilloauthor and my website: www.lindacastillo.com for some virtual events.

Finally, I want to thank you for your support, for reading and loving the books, and for spreading the word. You, my dear reader, are very much appreciated.

Best wishes to you and your loved ones for a fun and safe summer – and many hours of reading enjoyment.

Linda Castillo
