The Historical Room at the Carlock Library has acquired a very good collection of books about Abraham Lincoln, due in most part to Guy Fraker, a noted Lincoln scholar. We have two of Mr. Fraker’s books in our Library Collection. Not only has he donated his own, and other Lincoln books to the Library, but he has influenced a number of friends to add to our collection as well. The McLean County Museum and the Illinois State University site at Ewing Manor have both emphasized the McLean County Lincoln connection as well as the Route 66 importance to McLean County.
