Use interlibrary loan and holds for items that aren't immediately available for checkout!
Interlibrary Loan
The Carlock Public Library District is a member of the Resource Sharing Alliance (RSA), a consortium of more than 140 central and west-central Illinois libraries. You may request materials from any RSA-member library through RSAcat for pick-up at the Carlock Public Library District.
If you’re interested in materials that are not available from any RSA-member library, we will try to borrow it through our interlibrary loan service for you. Our library staff can help you request materials through interlibrary loan.
Place a Hold
To “wait in line” for a particular item, you may place a hold. From the RSAcat, search the item you’re looking for. If it is not available, you may click the “place a hold” button, and you’ll be notified when the item is waiting for you to pick up at the library.
You may also place a hold in person or by calling the library at (309) 376-5651.
Carlock Public Library District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Carlock Public Library District
has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and
commercial screen reading software. All features of the website are coded to allow individuals with vision and
other impairments to understand and use the website to the same degree as someone without disabilities. We welcome
feedback and can often resolve issues in a timely manner if they arise.
If you need any special assistance or accommodations:
Carlock Public Library District has designated a compliance officer for website disability-related accommodations.
The compliance officer has received training in website accessibility and updates the site in accordance with those best
practices. Contact our accessibility officer to report an issue.
Compliance Procedures and Reports
In addition to testing with users with a wide range of disabilities and coding our website to WCAG standards,
Carlock Public Library District regularly scans its website to ensure ongoing compliance, and makes timely
changes to any inaccessible changes, if any are found.
